Ling Zhi, also known as Ganoderma lucidum or Reishi mushroom, is a medicinal mushroom native to East Asia. It has been used in Chinese traditional medicine for centuries and is believed to have a range of health benefits. It is thought to have immune-boosting, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer properties, as well as being able to reduce stress and improve sleep quality. It is available in various forms, such as powders, extracts, and capsules.

 

Benefits:

Tastes Like:

Ling Zhi has a bitter, earthy taste. It is usually taken in supplement form, so it does not have an overtly noticeable flavor.

 

Preparation:

The best way to prepare Ling Zhi is to take it in supplement form. It is available in capsules, powders, and extracts. It can also be brewed into a tea, but this is not the most effective form of delivery.

 

Cautions/Contraindications:

Ling Zhi is mildly drying, so long-term use may cause dryness of the nose, sinus, mouth, throat, and stomach.Lingzhi stimulates the immune system, and should never be taken by those who are on immunosuppressant drugs.
